How the appointment runs

Consultation
A full facial assessment, medical history and a frank conversation about what is achievable, and what is not.

Treatment
Filler placed by needle or cannula, with local anaesthetic for comfort. Around 30 minutes.

Afterwards
Some swelling and possible bruising for a day or two. Avoid exercise, heat and pressure on the area for 24 hours.

Two-week review
Dr Azoo sees you again to check the result and plan anything further. Reviews are included.

Before and after your appointment

Dr Azoo goes through this with you at your consultation. These points are a reminder, and he will adjust them to you.

Before your appointment

Tell Dr Azoo about your medicines, allergies, and whether you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or unwell.
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours beforehand.
Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen unless a doctor has prescribed it for you. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Come without make-up on the area if you can, or be ready for it to be cleaned.
Eat and drink as usual before you come.

Aftercare

Some swelling, and possibly bruising, for a day or two is normal.
Leave make-up off the area for 24 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms and swimming for 24 hours.
Do not massage or press the area unless Dr Azoo has asked you to.
Sleep with your head slightly raised on the first night if the area feels swollen.
Your two-week review is included before anything further is added.
Contact the clinic promptly if pain is increasing, the skin changes colour, or anything worries you.
